Connecting a laptop to ODV with a direct connectionNOTE: The default static IP address of the ODV is 10.20.30.40. This cannot be changed.
- Insert the usb/Ethernet adapter to a usb port on the laptop or PC. (Picture in step #4.)
- Search for ETHERNET SETTINGS.
3. Select EDIT and set the IP address to ’10.20.30.100’. Subnet mask to ‘255.255.255.0’ and select SAVE.
4. Below is a picture of a laptop connected directly to the ODV using a usb to Ethenet adapter and network crossover cable. (Depending on the laptop/PC, a standard network cable can be used.)
5. To test the connection, open a browser and type in the static ODV Ethernet address ’10.20.30.40’.
6. This should open the ODV web page.
